Warzone season 5 appears in a clip, shared by streamer NICKMERCS. It doesn't contain many details, but points out August 5 as release date.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 5 is certainly in development. Meanwhile, players enjoy season 4 and many of the new stuff it brought. Many players are grinding for the new gun Rytec AMR and exploring new contracts in the game. On the other hand, Activision is certainly working with Infinity Ward for the new season. There aren’t many details available, but the studios certainly won’t stop with the season 4 assets. Nevertheless, there aren’t any announcements or underlying information to give us an idea about season 5.


Recently, the Twitch streamer NICKMERCS has received a teaser trailer from the developers. Accordingly, NICKMERCS claims the video signals that season 4 will end on August 4. Consequently, Warzone season 5 will most likely kick-off on 5th August 2020. The streamer didn’t share many details (probably the studio held them back), however, from the clip, we can see a train roaming Verdansk. Most likely, the train will contain valuable loot and make players fight over it. Even if there aren’t any official details around it, this possibility shows us how the studios are working on the competition flavour.

Moreover, certain speculations point out next season can come bearing other news. As the community expects a new Call of Duty game this year, Warzone season 5 can be the spot where the announcement takes place.
