Ubisoft adds Umutcan Tutuncu, who won three Just Dance world cups in a row, to the game. Tutuncu’s character will have his own choreography.
Just Dance has created its own community over the recent years. In other words, from casual to hardcore, there is a huge player base surrounding the game. Whenever there is a party, Just Dance can easily be an ingredient of it. Therefore, Ubisoft couldn’t ignore the buzz around the game and started organising world cups. First world cup took place in 2014 with Brazillian Diegho San clutching the title. After, San managed to defend his championship in 2015. However, every tournament after 2015 had only one champion: Umutcan Tutuncu.
The Turkish Just Dance enthusiast, born in 2000, has three consecutive titles so far. Moreover, Tutuncu managed to surpass significant content creators such as Joseph “Azzlano” Cordero and Antonino “Dancer280” Pomilia. Both of these individuals create lots of interaction on Twitch or TikTok. Consequently, Tutuncu’s streak of victories caught Ubisoft’s eye. The studio decided to add him as a character to the game.
Tutuncu made an announcement via his Instagram account, saying “They added me as a character, to the world famous video game Just Dance 2020 as a character. It makes me proud to be a part of this international production as a Turkish individual.” Also, he expanded his statement with a paragraph in English, you can see below.
Furthermore, Tutuncu uploaded his brand new choreography for Just Dance 2020, to his YouTube channel. In his channel, you can also view a footage from Just Dance World Cup 2019.
