Five years after its initial release, The Witcher 3 without a doubt became a legendary RPG. While the fans are eager to see a new title, CD Projekt’s new game Cyberpunk 2077 is the main focus right now. Although the devs are focused on the Cyberpunk 2077, it seems like some brainstorming is going on for The Witcher 4.
Are you ready to see Ciri as the protagonist of the next Witcher game? To honor the game’s fifth anniversary, VG247 did an interview with principal writer Jakub Szamałek of CDPR. During the interview, Kirk McKeand asked, “Have you ever considered continuing The Witcher series with Ciri as a lead?”
Surprisingly, McKeand did not receive a political answer from Szamałek. Among all others, the following quote cached our eye specifically. “Due to obvious reasons – well, she’s pretty much gone for two-thirds of the game – she didn’t get quite as much screen time as we writers would have liked. But hey, maybe it’s something we’ll get to get back to in the future.”
This means that the next the Witcher title, perhaps The Witcher 4, may feature Ciri’s story. If you are interested in The Witcher 3, you can read VG247’s full interview here.
