The Red Door might be an internal alpha for the next Call of Duty game.

The Red Door is a shooter that recently appeared on Microsoft Store. Moreover, the publisher appears to be Activision. Even if the administrators took the listing down, pointing out it was an accidental leak, there are certain rumours around it. Particularly, some claim this is the internal alpha for the next Call of Duty game.

Internal alpha points to a session with a special key. On the other hand, there weren’t any options to receive a key on this page. The keyhole on the cover emphasises the mystery with the cryptic description: “There is more than one truth. If you go looking for answers, be ready to question everything and accept that nothing will ever be the same. The Red Door awaits, do you dare step through it?”

The Red Door might be the cover for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Moreover, a group of data miners has run some queries on the store page and received interesting results. The queries returned with multiplayer map names such as “Black Sea”, “KGB”, “Miami”, “Moscow”, and “Tank”.  Furthermore, the miners revealed some mission names such as “Stakeout”, “Prisoner”, “Armada”, and “Revolution”.

As a reminder, The Red Door also appeared on PlayStation Store (now removed), with a Content ID of COD2020INTALPHA1. Therefore, Activision is definitely developing this game. However, there are no further details on the campaign or the battle royale setting.
