Nearly all of the Star Wars games are getting a lot of attention right now. The original Star Wars: Battlefront from 2004 now has multiplayer support directly through Steam. The support was ended in 2014 with GameSpy, therefore the main part of the game was rendered unplayable.
Furthermore, the update which enables multiplayer support is not limited to this. The update also brings French, Italian, German, and Spanish language support, in addition to the other things. Also, some gameplay fixes and menu updates are in the patch. Here are the patch details, if you want to know more about it.
Players report that the multiplayer support works well, without any error. If you want to play multiplayer, you just need to start the game and pick Galaxy Multiplayer. After this, it is more like the old-school pick-the-game-you-want type of server browsing.
Right now, we do not know how many players the game’s multiplayer support. Originally, it was 64 at a time, but Steam mainly supports 32 players in direct multiplayer. We should remind you about the coming May the 4th. So, we may see more news about Star Wars in the coming days.
We will update you as soon as possible if new information regarding Star Wars: Battlefront surfaces.
