The Division 2 will be available on Google Stadia soon

PC cross-play support will be available at launch.

Last summer, Ubisoft announced that The Division 2 will be available on Google Stadia. Even though we did not hear about it in the meantime, some rumors were claiming the launch will be soon. With Update 8 of the base game and Warlords of New York expansion, the game will launch on Google Stadia.

One of the most promising features of the Google Stadia version of the game is the PC cross-play availability. The feature will be available immediately at launch, so Stadia players will not suffer from the newly-developed player base. Furthermore, Ubisoft will make cross-progression available too.

If you connect your Ubisoft account to Google Stadia, your progress will be saved. The decision to make the game available for cross-play may make the Stadia version more compelling. After all, Stadia servers would be less populated compared to PC if there was no cross-play option.

Moreover, there is a possibility of Stadia Pro users getting the game with a discount. Ubisoft previously cooperated with Google to discount Ghost Recon Breakpoint in December. The Google Stadia version of The Division 2 will release on March 17, so it is not far away.
