Steam Game Festival has been the name for the traditional Steam Sales for a while. Indeed, since the first day, Steam Sales have always got the players excited. We are always sure these events will take place every year. However, we are still curious about what date the next sale takes place.
Recently, Geoff Keighley has announced the period for the next Steam event. According to Keighley, Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition is coming on October 7. Moreover, the event will go until October 13 with lots of game demos and discounts. Keighley’s tweet confirms that the event will host additional game previews and activities, such as developer interviews. Furthermore, the span of five days is an increase on duration. The Spring Edition, which was a replacement for Game Developers Conference, lasted only for 48 hours.
On the other hand, Valve is quite silent about the Game Festival’s course. In particular, they neither confirmed the dates nor announced their agenda. Nevertheless, we can assume they will come up with a better “optimisation” for the features they include. Last time, there were around a thousand game demos, for which one week was insufficient to try. Moreover, we might get additional freebies as Valve’s response to Epic’s generosity.
Valve is planning another Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition this Fall, running October 7 – 13. Another chance to play free previews of upcoming games.
