Remedy is confirmed to be working on a PlayStation exclusive

Is a brand new IP on the way?

Previous rumors were claiming that Remedy Entertainment might be working on a new PlayStation Exclusive. Today, Jack of All Controllers confirmed the rumors by observing the high-ranking employees on LinkedIn.

Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Head of Indies Shuhei Yoshida visited the studio in the past, causing the rumors. In addition, Yoshida also paid a visit to an external development studio, XDEV Europe.

Today, Lead Producer at Remedy Entertainment Alexis Guariguta updated his LinkedIn page. His job title now states “XDEV + CoDev”, while working at Remedy Entertainment. This shows that the studios are indeed working together to put something on the table.

We will leave a screenshot above, just in case, if anything gets edited after we publish this. This collaboration could be the first title we see on the new PlayStation 5 family. Moreover, the game they are working on might even release for PlayStation 4 too.

Recently, we reported that CD Projekt chose to grant Xbox One players a free Cyberpunk 2077 upgrade to Xbox Series X. We believe that the idea behind this decision is to encourage gamers to now wait for the next-gen consoles. Who knows, maybe Remedy Entertainment chooses to do the same thing with their new exclusive.
