New Remedy game is a sibling to Control & Alan Wake

The studio continues to build their own supernatural universe

Remedy is currently busy with developing the next Control DLC: AWE.  As you may or may not know, this expansion has a deep connection to Alan Wake. Therefore, we will see a triumvirate of games that rule the same universe.

In August 27, AWE comes online and its trailer shows some signs from Alan Wake universe already. Nonetheless, Remedy isn’t trying to hide their ambition at all. In a recent blog post, the studio has announced Remedy Connected Universe. So far, they only confirmed the connection between Alan Wake and Control. However, there are strong signs that there is a new Remedy game coming.

Creative Director Sam Lake also confirmed the existence of such universe with his own words. He said,  “Slowly, patiently, behind the scenes, we’ve been planning and plotting to make this a reality. I’m absolutely thrilled to tell you that now, the time has come to take the first concrete step on this road, establishing Remedy Connected Universe. You have no idea how happy it makes me to be able to finally make this statement.”

Therefore, the Finnish studio is not done with Control or Alan Wake yet. In contrast, these games are the foundation of many others to come. Lake himself also confirmed the existence of the new Remedy game. However, the studio or Lake didn’t share any further details.
