In the past few weeks, nearly all of the video game developers switched to working from home system. The most detailed explanation to decide on this came from CD Projekt and Kojima Productions. Yet, even though they were not in the studio since March 20, an employee tested COVID-19 positive.
Even though most of the staff was working from home, we think there were some points of contact which led to this.
The studio confirmed the test in a press release. First, all of the staff will work remotely from now on. Therefore, we should not see more cases from the studio anymore.
“We are working closely with public health authorities and they have informed us that since this employee was not in the office at the time of symptoms onset, all other Kojima Productions employees are not considered ‘close contacts,’ meaning that it is not mandatory to close the office,” states the announcement.
“However, we at Kojima Productions have independently decided to enact the following precautions to safeguard the health and well-being of all our employees as well as the broader community.”
“Kojima Productions will continue working closely with public health authorities. And enact additional precautions as necessary to prevent further spread in any way possible.”
