Kerbal Space Program addressed a demand which has not been fulfilled at all with great success. The game is considered one of the pioneers of the space simulations, so the players are expecting a glorious sequel. Today, the developers announced that the sequel, Kerbal Space Program 2 has been delayed once again.
Before the delay, the release period of the game was late 2020 or early 2021. Thus, according to the announcement, we are looking at a release window which is around late 2021. Therefore, we can say that the delay is nearly a full year, spanning more than three seasons.

Developers mention that one of the reasons is COVID-19 pandemic. We can assume the studio had a hard time arranging things and continuing the development process. Above, you can find the full statement issued by the developers. “We understand this isn’t the news you were hoping to see,” the developers state.
Kerbonauts, we have a mission for you! On May 27, @SpaceX and @NASA are launching astronauts to the @Space_Station from U.S. soil! We challenge you to simulate the mission and share your footage by May 25 using #LaunchAmerica. We’ll show NASA the best ones to see what they think! pic.twitter.com/BrfwabqcMR
