Guerilla seeks to turn the tide with the first Horizon Zero Dawn patch. Indeed, the complete edition has brought lots of issues. The first step, v1.01 is currently available on Steam and Epic Games Store. Conversely, we can assume a speedy process to fix the game has started.
Currently, the game has a host of problems such as weird crashes and performance issues. Moreover, the overall port saw some features omitted and caused some frustration around those. As a consequence, Guerilla Games explicitly acknowledged these caveats and started to mitigate them. The first Horizon Zero Dawn patch doesn’t fix everything, but brings some changes that will help the game freshen up.
Firstly, the patch will bring slow-mo for Concentration trait. Also, it will stop Steam UI from crashing the game due to improper start-up. Guerilla shared the patch notes via a Reddit post, here you are some of the highlights:
Fixed an issue where the game would crash if the SteamUI didn’t initialize properly on startup.
