Yesterday we published the news that E3 2020 might be in danger because of California’s state of emergency. Previously, Sony announced that they will skip the event and Geoff Keighley also declared that he will not attend. Like if these are not enough struggle, the event’s key retail and production agency partner iam8bit announced resignation.
It’s with mixed emotions that @iam8bit has decided to resign as Creative Directors of what was to be an evolutionary #E32020 floor experience. We’ve produced hundreds of gaming + community events and it was a dream to be involved with E3. We wish the organizers the best of luck.

With the creative director of the event is now gone, E3 2020’s future is unclear. Organizers of the event, the ESA, did not issue a statement regarding this yet. Previously, even after the coronavirus concerns, they stated they are working at “full-speed” to make the event ready.
There are nearly three months left until the event, therefore organizers need to be quick. Some players and video game fans have already booked their flights and rooms. Moreover, because of the ESA’s leak of the press, analyst and influencer data, no one is willing to rally support. We will update you as the news around E3 2020 start to develop.
