Destiny 2 is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Bungie announced in a tweet today that they are releasing the free-to-play game on PS5 and Xbox Series X. However, they did not reveal any other details. Nevertheless, the developer will release more details in the near future.

Consequently, fans have a lot of unanswered questions, according to Forbes.
- Will we need to purchase the game all over again? If so, how much of the game? (…)
- What if the game ends up being a Smart Delivery game on Xbox Series X but doesn’t have a similar deal worked out on PS5?
- Will purchases made this-gen transfer to next-gen? All those microtransactions could be lost. Will characters even transfer, for that matter?
- Will there be new content at launch for next-gen? Will there be significant differences between this generation and next-gen in the game? Or will it just make more sense to play backward compatible versions of the game we already own?
The game might have the Xbox Series X Smart Delivery feature which enables users to play a game on both Xbox One and Series X once they buy it. In any case, we cannot be certain for now.
If we are certain of one thing, it is that Microsoft and Sony are releasing Xbox Series X and PS5 later this year during holiday season.
