Crytek confirmed, Crysis Remastered Switch version will release on 23rd of July.
When Crytek announced Crysis Remastered, everybody treated it as a welcome surprise. However, a string of events made the game a target for criticism. Eventually, these events made Crytek to reconsider the game’s release date. On the other hand, the studio appears to be content with Crysis Remastered Switch version. Therefore, they decided not to touch the release date on Nintendo Switch.
Crysis, the futuristic FPS, was a technological marvel in 2007. Therefore, gamers expected a level-up with this remaster. Yet, when Microsoft Store accidentally leaked the game, the community felt a disappointment. Resetera forum members felt the game will not be that ”remastered”, after comparing screenshots. Therefore, Crytek decided to remedy this problem and moved the release date for all platforms. Furthermore, Crytek also released a statement on Twitter, saying ”they’ve heard everybody”. The delay on these platforms will be for a few weeks.
On the other hand, Crytek issued another Twitter post. This time, the tweet meant to confirm the release date for the Switch version. Consequently, we’re now sure this version will be with us on 23rd of July. Moreover, the studio published a small article on the Switch version. Apparently, the Switch version will contain most of the technological advancements, the remaster initially promised. These features include, but not limited to, dynamic lighting, gyro aiming, destructible environments, and vegetation blending.
