Crucible, Amazon’s free-to-play PvP shooter is now live

The game is only available for players from the Noth America region.

Amazon is taking baby steps to gain some market share in the gaming industry with two new games. In addition to the New World, the studio is working on a free-to-play PvP shooter called Crucible. In fact, the game is now live on Steam in the North America region.

The studio shared a new trailer to celebrate the release of the game, which you can watch above. If you would like to take a look at the game, you can go to its Steam page using this link. To clarify, the game is only available in North America for now. So, if you would like to play it in any other region, you will have to wait until its release.

Crucible seems to be a unique shooter in a couple of ways. First, every character has unique skills, abilities, and weapons which can be upgraded throughout the game. Thus, we can say that the MOBA level progression system is integrated into a shooter game. There is one catch though, you pick the upgrades you’ll get before the game starts.

Furthermore, the game features a couple of game modes for the beginning. These are objective-based 4v4 and 8v8 modes, and a third called Alpha Hunt. If you would like to learn more about the game, you can visit the official Crucible website here.
