Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 seems to have had a story campaign at one point during its development process. This comes in contrary to earlier official statements that insisted otherwise.
Back when developers revealed the gameplay two years ago, they emphasized the fact that the game does not have a single-player campaign. Even though developer Treyarch said a campaign was not in development in any stage for Black Ops 4, reports that followed had revealed the opposite was true.
This week, a footage of one of the campaign missions surfaced on the internet. A Reddit user by the name ForeverDexus posted the following video.
The 2 minute video shows the players guided through the mission in order to secure the Aquilus CEO. We can clearly see certain team objectives to complete and stop certain actions. The mission does not seem finished, but the overall structure and gameplay certainly look different from what fans are used to.
The user also found some test footage of numerous in-game effects such as gas and steam pipes. We must also note that ForeverDexus admitted that it was not them who datamined the game’s files. They have apparently reposted someone else’s work.
