Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to have a bigger map than Odyssey

The game has the biggest map in the series.

Players always wonder about the map size when a new Assassin’s Creed game is about to release. Since the games are heavily focused on open-world activities and experiences, the map is an important aspect. Putting an end to the heated discussions, Ubisoft revealed the truth about Assassin’s Creed Valhalla map size. According to the developers, the game has the biggest map in the series.

To clarify, according to the developers, the map will be fairly bigger than Odyssey’s. The game’s producer  Julien Laferriere did a recent interview with YouTuber Julien Chieze, clarifying some points about the game. So, according to Laferriere, the game has the biggest map size with its massive landmass. Since the game’s map consists of the whole country of England and a big part of Norway, you can imagine it has to be big.

Furthermore, “There are other secret worlds, which I can not speak about today, which contributed to the size of the game. It’s not a small game, it is a game which is clearly ambitious, which will offer many many hours of gameplay for the players,” Laferriere states. Thus, we can say that there are some things Ubisoft is not revealing about the game right now. We will see what these are when the game releases.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is unlikely to feature metropolitan areas.

For now, it is clear that the players will have a massive Assassin’s Creed in their hands with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. There is no doubt about that. Of course, because of the theme and the setting of the game, we are unlikely to see metropolitan areas like AC: Syndicate and AC: Unity. Perhaps, we need to alter our perception about what is “massive” and what is not. If more information surfaces about this, we will make sure you are updated.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will release for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X platforms.
